The Martin MAC 401 Dual is a creatively

fresh LED moving washlight and pixel head

that adds a whole new level of visual expres-

sion to any show. Wash, pixels or beams, the

MAC 401 Dual lets you decide.

Advanced wash characteristics combine with a host of

other useful features like individual LED segment control for

pixel mapping video content, fully blended colors, large

face with distinct fat beam look, fast zoom and innovative

double-sided design to offer designers all-new possibilities

for truly original visual designs.

The MAC 401 Dual will appeal to those designers who

always strive to create a new and better experience for the

audience. More than a traditional wash ﬁxture, the MAC

401 Dual is something radically new.

A better blend of colors

Thirty-six, new, multi-color, single-point source LEDs

produce an outstanding color quality. The 401 Dual’s inno-

vative color mixing system fully blends colors at the source

before they leave each lens so that individual source colors

are not seen. This eliminates the problem of rainbow shad-

ows and the messy multi-color lens looks of traditional LED

ﬁxtures. LEDs are calibrated at the factory for excellent

color consistency across ﬁxtures.

Bright and efﬁcient

The MAC 401 Dual is surprisingly powerful with up to

6,600 lumens of output and excellent optical performance.

The LEDs are extremely efﬁcient and with a 50,000-hour

rated lifetime you can forget about those continuous lamp

replacements and enjoy the beneﬁt of a lower cost of own-

ership.

Broad beam

A unique large lens face produces a refreshingly novel

broad beam look. The distinctive wider beam has a brilliant

appearance mid-air, gives a fresh look to any show and has

become an LD favorite.

Speedy beam angle adjustments

The MAC 401’s beam angle is speedy to adjust via a fast

linear zoom. Spreads from hypermode tight to a wide wash

take less than 0.5 seconds.

Silence, please

For television and theater settings, a silent mode option vir-

tually eliminates fan use for extended periods for noise-free

operation. And for television and ﬁlm, the LEDs give com-

pletely ﬂicker-free looks on camera.

High speed pan and tilt motors generate quick acceleration

with smooth, accurate movement. A special fast mode set-

ting boosts pan/tilt speed when needed.

Twice the creativity

No other ﬁxture offers the dual functionality of the MAC

401. The clever double-sided design allows for alternating

effects and adds a whole new dimension to lighting design.

The plug-in feature allows users to add modules to the

back of the ﬁxture - other LED modules or special effect

modules – for all-new creative possibilities and increased

production value.

Individual LED segment control

The MAC 401 Dual’s 36 lenses are grouped into four equal

segments, each segment with individual color and intensity

control for new looks like bow tie and half-and-half effects.

Control all four LED segments together; top and bottom;

left and right; or control each segment individually.

For further effects options, an accessory gel frame holder

allows users to insert frost ﬁlters or other custom ﬁlters.

Built-in effects

A host of built-in effects allows for a variety of different

looks fast. Overlay effects channels to create even more ef-

fects or control each LED segment individually to create

your own.

Control options

For maximum control ﬂexibility, both RGB and Hue/Satura-

tion control modes are provided.

P3 over Ethernet connectors are also included to future-pro-

tect ﬁxture compatibility with Martin’s P3-100 System

Controller for video signal processing.

to add an LED module, such as the MAC 401 CT Zoom,

or a special effect module to the ﬁxture’s reverse side for

The MAC 401 includes a variable CTC mode for color

temperature changes from 2,000 – 10,000 K.

MAC 401 CT Zoom™

The MAC 401 CT Zoom is a color temperature

variable white light source wash luminaire with

fast zoom. The MAC 401 CT Zoom not only deliv-

ers more light than traditional RGB LED ﬁxtures,

but projects a much better light quality, making it

excellent for highlighting skin tones or textiles. It

is also available as a module that easily ﬁts onto

either side of any MAC 401 Dual, creating a

white light or color plus white light source. Power

consumption is much lower than traditional tung-

sten washlights.

Firmware updates via DMX input make it easy to add new

software features.

Energy efﬁcient

The MAC 401 Dual offers all the beneﬁts of LED technology

like greater reliability, less maintenance and increased

energy efﬁciency for a lower cost of ownership. Power

consumption is only 386 W with all LEDs at full and be-

cause the LEDs only draw power when light is emitted and

only at the level needed, the 401 Dual provides enormous

energy savings over HID ﬁxtures that run continuously at

full power regardless of light level.

Durable, user-friendly design

The MAC 401 Dual is robust for the rigors of the rental

market yet lightweight enough to be used in a variety of

applications. A modular design makes for easy service and

maintenance. And for even greater maintenance ease and

savings, the MAC 401 Dual will support RDM feedback

protocol as a future ﬁrmware release.

approved. A switch mode power supply guarantees
